hi Wicked Device! I had a question about the Omnibot - from trawling around the site I see you sell a complete kit but I started out having a go at building it from my back-issue of Make magazine.
The original article includes a link to the Make Motorshield v1.1, which looks like is still available but there's also a version 2 shield now. I read the notes for it but it doesn't say anything about using the v2 motor shield as an ESC / electronic speed controller for use in an R/C vehicle, whereas the v1 webpage notes this specifically, and the v1 shield includes connections for the R/C receiver.
Do you know if the v2 shield will work in the omnibot? I'm new to arduino (and remote control) so I'm not sure, although I thought if the v1 shield was just passing the signals from the receiver into the arduino anyway then it wouldn't matter too much if the v2 shield didn't have special connections for it, I could just connect them to the arduino directly and then adjust the pins used to listen for the r/c inputs in the code? possibly : )
thanks for any guidance you can provide anyway - best regards
