Upon further review if your question, yes the WiFi module we are currently using only supports 2.4GHz operation.

Thanks for confirming the AQE is a 2.4 GHz device. Might help to put that in the startup and troubleshooting instructions. I was using the Arduino IDE to configure the egg from the start.
