Devices are not seeing the Wi-Fi (ssid) - Can't configure
Emailed opensensors. What about data viz at https://airqualityegg.wickeddevice.com/dashboard/#/egg/egg0******** ? Still not working. Also, interested to see how data imputation is implemented...

I just checked on the server and ya things had gotten stuck on the dashboard. I just restarted that process so it should work again now. There's obviously some server-side bug that I haven't trapped...
View ArticleDevices are not seeing the Wi-Fi (ssid) - Can't configure
Are processes allocated per device on the server? I see one device visualizer working and the other stopped/stuck. If device owners can't recycle a stuck process, may be scheduling a recycle (ex....
View ArticleDevices are not seeing the Wi-Fi (ssid) - Can't configure
@AbedKhooli not really, it's more like there is a request queue and sometimes things die in the queue and clog it up. However, at the moment there doesn't appear to be any evidence that is happening....

b0130 is OK (can select duration and see results, self update not fully functional). The one that is completely stuck is ***90133. I can see it posting events to opensensors but is stuck (since...

Hm yes I see what you mean. That is wierd because there is certainly data that I can get using the download tool, it just seems like the dashboard tool is in a weird state that I don't quite...

So, yea that fixed it insofar as it at least made the initial data request and displayed self-updating plots. As you suggested earlier, maybe for now I should just add a cron job to restart the...

OK, I've just done that so lets see how it goes...

I see it working, thanks. For the duration drop down, I suggest to set the default to 1 hr (instead of 5 min, a balance of load/usability) - unless 5 min was selected based on usage trends.

Also, I tried following guidelines at: https://airqualityegg.wikispaces.com/Reflashing+the+AQE+Shield. using arduino as ISP, but I got the following error: liz@lizmac:~/citizen_science$ avrdude -c...

I'm tying to run some eggs consistently for use in an air quality project, but as of yet, I haven't had much success. Generally, the communication breaks down before we can get a good chunk of data....
View ArticleMeasurements for PM, NO2 and CO and readings interpretation
I noticed that NO2/CO eggs give high readings for NO2 and CO (over 1600, 70 respectively) and take around 20 minutes to stabilize at normal levels.Question: what is the technical explanation for this...

You are correct that there is a stabilization period for the gas sensors related to the chemistry of the sensor itself. The Egg is designed to be a long running / always on device, and this start is...

Thanks. BTW, the process at https://airqualityegg.wickeddevice.com/dashboard/#/egg/egg00xxxx is probably stuck. Opensensors seem to have updated their interface and their dashboard sees no activity...

Hmmm ... .try now. We did a restart.

@eiliscoleman are you still having trouble? The wikispaces instructions you found are not relevant to Air Quality Egg version 2... (actually nothing on the wikispaces site is relevant to version 2)

If you've got a red board inside your Egg, we encourage you to contact support at wickeddevice dot com to discuss sending it back for a refurb / upgrade to its Wi-Fi hardware. That being said, the...

@AbedKhooli I figured out that the cron job wasn't actually doing anything, but I've fixed that now and there is some evidence that it's operational now.

I can see it working now. Opensensors are also working on a new dashboard that I hope will help (including mapping) but not done yet (https://publisher.opensensors.io/my-account).
