The Tx and Rx are bound properly, this I am sure of after so many years of r/c. The serial data read is not showing reliable results on one of the two channels (1000-2000). I continue to fiddle with the code, but I am overheating another board and effectively burned it up as well (not smoking but hot and falls out of connection with the USB). The radio, receiver, and servos are all commonly available hobby grade gear. The Arduino is UNO.
Here's the reality. WickedDevice does not have, or post, a reliable servo control method for this board. It is proven technology with DC motor (brushed and stepper), but not servos. Even the first basic sketch you sent doesn't work.
If a proven reliable sketch to control the servos becomes available by testing or development let me know. It would be great to use. Otherwise it's all good. I can not meet my design criteria. I appreciate your help on this. You're really a bright guy when it comes to this stuff, and you do a really great job at supporting the forum. I appreciate that and I know so many others do as well.
